Daily Pages 03/14/24: Easy Collage Story
Want to get started with collage? Try this technique for simple pages.
Behind the Page
I wanted something easy today — something I didn’t have to think too hard about putting together. Strip collages are one of my go-to page techniques. I picked out some warm colors and put the orange/yellow ones on the left and the pink/red ones over on the right. Just one more thing that made it easy to put this page together. I added a few leftover photos from last year’s Awesome Ladies Live and then added a quote card that felt right.
Technique of the Day
My strip scraps are made up of lots of different materials (that’s one of the reasons I think these pages look so cool). I use gel prints, patterned paper, stamped cardstock, textured cardstock, specialty papers, and collage strips. Whatever you’ve got on hand works really well. It’s all about using up what you’ve got and having fun with it!
Reflections & Insights
These pages are a great background for whatever you’ve got lying around to add on top. Today I used leftover photos, but it’s also a great place for a big sticker, a journaling card, or whatever else you’ve got on your desk.

Tips & Creative Wisdom
I store all of my vertical strip scraps in a separate place. It makes it easier to pull them out and create pages like this one. I love using up my scraps and creating fun mixed up pages. It’s a great way to make super simple mixed paper collages.
